ECOSEAROUTES is a European initiative, under the Interreg Euro-MED Programme, aimed at  promoting eco-nautical routes to reduce pressure on Mediterranean coastal areas.It aims to shift tourism flows toward less-visited natural and inland areas by creating a MED-wide network of sustainable touristic ports, co-designed local itineraries, and Community Heritage Hubs. Addressing shared regional challenges such as high seasonal pressure on ports, the vulnerability of protected sites, and the low appeal of hinterlands, the project fosters a more balanced, sustainable tourism model through a strong transnational and participatory approach.
